How to Backup music and Video on ipod touch

    Ok I've got this other idea on how to back up your music, and I was wondering if it could possibly work, so I'll ask here.

    If you SSH into your iPod touch, and navigate to "/private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music", you'll find all of your music there in folders named "F##".. So, is it possible that I copy all of the music (folders) to my laptop, then restore my iPod (given that my iPod is in recovery mode or something), and then copy all those folders back to my restored iPod? Will my music be there? Or is this just another feeble attempt on backing up my music =D ?..

    yea it will work but have fun backing up for i dont know 10-15 hours through ssh.
