all you have to do is open up the .tap file (from tap tap revolution) with a text editor and at the top you add

    #title "name of song"
    #artist "name of artist"
    #id "######"

convert the mp3 song file to aac
(not sure if this is needed, but my mp3 wouldnt work)
you can use itunes to do this.

name the aac file and the .tap file the same, but after the .tap files name add (difficulty)

    ex.
    All That Remains - Six.m4a
All That Remains - Six (medium).tap

    now find your ttr.app in
    /var/mobile/Applications

(its all numbers, just open them until you find one with a tap tap folder)

import the song file to Documents/Tap Tap Revenge/Music
    (inside the app folder)

import the tap file to Documents/Tap Tap Revenge/Taps

shakes, one-player, and two-player are all compatible!

note: when playing these .tap files, some notes will be off.
it is still playable, but you will have to change every line of code to make it look better.

That is not all the steps. If you try playing the song you will notice that all the notes will appear in a very messy way. It's barely even playable and looks really ugly.

You will have to open the tap-file and change every line of code to make it work properly.

ya, but people like me dont really care as long as its playable:)
i just thought people should know how to so they can convert there .tap files over.

i dont think its worth converting every line to make it look good.

    i updated the post

I tried this myself today, and it works, also on a side note, you can even replace the background with any of the ones we use for the 1.1.4 version, animated strings an all :)

Come on modders, let's see some skins and new taps or 1.1.4 ones converted

Edit: Here is a screeny of what I just tried, ssh'ing one of the skin backgrounds in

It's one of the Guitar Hero backgrounds from here, search the skin and icon submission thread, I just used it to see if the AppStore version would allow them.

And Hiratai, that looks sweet, when you plan on releasing and I assume it's mac only?
