How to access the root?

    well i want to know how i can access the root directory while it is tethered to my pc? no it is not jailbroken and i dont plan to, but i would like to access the root drive with a program or something, but if i have to jailbreak i guess i have to but i want that to be a last option

    The whole point of jailbreaking is to gain write access to /.

    Just do it.

    Anyone here will guarantee that jailbreaking is not the cause of that. Thousands (Millions, maybe) of iPhones have been jailbroken and work just fine.

    ugh well i jailbroke and had to go back cuz after i jailbroke my setting icon disappeared and it frozed everytime i clicked it

    cuz the text was still there but the icon was gone and this was for more than one app

    thats not a jailbreaking issue, that just happens with beta 5, ask around

    well it only happens to me after i jailbreak
