Ok, im a noob when it comes to jailbreaking but when redsn0w comes out, will it be safe because I don't really want to void the warranty and screw my expensive baby (my iPod Touch) up because, yeah, I will be fked.

EDIT: What is so good about jailbreaking anyway?

In JB apps run unprotected :> this means they can do anything, including slowing down software

this is most visible consequence of JB.

Read the jailbreaking section in this topic. It also explains a lot about the iPod in general.

    speak for yourself.

not saying it's right to do.

jailbreaking, is a good way of customizing your ipod touch, the way it looks.

if something goes wrong, just restore it. You'll loose the jailbreak, but your device CAN'T get broken when you try to jailbreak it. Therefore, it is very safe. as thehitman said, when you restore your iPod Touch, you'll delete all the traces of this process, too.
