How much does it cost to replace the battery of an ipod touch 2g?

    Ever thought about replacing it yourself?? (not being a smartass). I have learned how to do this.. if you are sorta technically savvy, not too difficult.

    no. if you call a pick from a guitar a special tool. If you don't want to scratch it then something plastic. I've also used flat head eyeglasses screwdriver.

    Yeah the prices are outrageous.

    hmm, working with 1mm of space doesn't sound like a fun job, especially with the screen right there. is the frame firmly attached? im guessing you have to push the frame out and unwrap it? have u scratched your ipod?

    Who said anything about it being fun?? I've built damn near a dozen computers from scratch so if electronics isn't your thing... I wouldn't suggest it. Of course the screen is firmly attached, you think I pulled it off with my bare hands? No you don't have to push the frame out and unwrap it... and what are you even referring to that you would have to "unwrap"?? Have I scratched my ipod from taking it apart? No. I've posted these links below to show you how I learned and the exact process I did. Any other questions???
