How many times have you dropped your iPod? I have dropped mine 3 times since I got it. Every time I dropped it, it has landed face-down. Luckily have a durable screen protector and case. There are not dents or marks on my iPod.

I got mad once and threw it when it had an invisible shield on. Minor dent. Regretted it but I sold it.

    I don't think I've ever dropped my 2G yet....
    Hope I didn't jinx myself.

I toss it on my bed sometimes, that's about all.

I've dropped mine about 3-4 times since I bought it on October 1, 2008. I have almost no scratches at all and I usually don't use my case because I'm responsible. I love the look of it.

Twice. Once was a traditional accidental drop, the other was a little different. It somehow ended up across the room with a small dent in the back.

1/2 a time. i was getting out of this low to the ground car and it started to fall out of my pocket. using my my cat-like reflexes i saw is fall and quickly put my life on the line to dive on my knees and push it to the grass before it hit the ground. i count that as half of a time

Not sure, a few times. I always had a silicon case on it though.
(I use my iPhone now, so yeah. I haven't dropped it though.)

Mine was dropped about four times since March 08.

First, it hit the pavement outdoors hard about a month after I got it. Face down. In the rain. Expecting the worst, I picked it up and was rather shocked after seeing the chip in the "border" that's around the 1G Touch screen. I colored it in with a sharpie and lived with it since.

The second time, my uncle was playing around with it when it fell out of the case and hit the tile floor in the kitchen. That left another smaller and more inconspicuous mark on the top right of the "border".

The other two times were last week when it fell off the couch twice after leaving it there. No damage done as it fell onto the carpet and not a hardwood floor.

Looking back, I can see why Apple decided to do away with the "border" on the 1G Touch...it's so delicate and gets dented too easily!
