That's incredible! With Android 4.3 the Apps were a little buggy, but about a week later everything was updated to support 4.3. Its nice to see that app support will be nearly instantaneous with the release of iOS 7.

    I'm not happy about it.

52% off apps will be iOS 7 only. That means that people like me owning iPod Touch 4G will no longer be able to run apps on a 1 generation older device...

The iPod Touch 4G is so old and under-speced that I'm not surprised that Apple isn't supporting it.

It may only be "one generation" old but it's much older than 1 year.

You have to see it from the perspective of everyone else. The 4th gen. iPod Touch is an old device now. I'm sorry it's not getting updated, but them's the breaks, as they say.

Yeah I suppose tech does move on.. Probably means I get a new device soon :D

Or I should get all the apps while I can.. I've been in the position before with the 1st gen and iOS3.1.3

Sorry, but you know in this day and age, technology is very, very short lived, 2-3 years is excellent value, so really, you just need to fork over more money, or go to a better platform.

Get yourself a shiny new iPod for Christmas, or your birthday, or whatever. I'm sure you remember going from 1 to 4 was a huge leap, so imagine going from 4 to, say, 6? :) That's assuming Apple releases a new Touch this year. I can see them hanging onto the current model for a while (or very mildly updating it) because of the recent addition of the "base" model, and to help drive down the cost in general since they are now nearly as expensive as the iPad Mini.
