How long until no commitment phone is released?!

    Is there any predictions or official word when the no commitment iphone will be released?

    No commitment as in pay as you go? I'm pretty sure its clear that you have to sign a 2 year contract when you buy the phone. :/

    no apple said they would release a "no commitment" version of the iphone later after release, and its much more expensive

    EDIT: There is talks about a no commitment iPhone, although I don't know when it will be available.

    Yup, AT&T or apple hasn't mentioned anything on that yet. I would get one with a contract but I'm on Verizon

    Look where is says What will I pay.

    It clearly says, Coming soon, AT&T will offer a no-commitment option of $599 for 8GB and $699 for 16GB.

    So what were you saying again??

    Oh, I see now. It was listed under 'Current AT&T Customers' and I didn't realize.

    That's quite interesting, actually. I'm sure there will be some sort of catch to eliminate unlocking and so forth.
