just got the touch not too long ago and it's out of battery alr. how long should I charge the iPod for, since it's the first time I'm charging it? usually for phones, the battery should be charged around 8 hours, so I'm not too sure for iPod Touch. plx advice, thx!

Charge it until the battery no longer shows a charging icon and shows the tiny plug.

Charge conditioning was for the old days when we had ni-cad and nimh batteries.

I believe a mod posted a thread about you don't need to charge it the first time, I believe the mod was studangerous and the title was battery life and conservation.

EDIT:Oh wait I just saw his post.

I believe a user is about to make a post recommending a little guide thread that I wrote on Battery Lİfe. I think that user could be iBricked.

Edit/ Oh wait, I just saw his post...

LOL Sudangerous, that's a little bogus, don't you think... LOL...

But nice guide, I'm surprised I never saw it before. Has great information. I'm just used to charging my device when it drops under 20%.
