(see attachment) has not moved for the last 20 or 25 minutes. is this normal? how long should this process take?

Probably depends how much stuff you have on the iPod. Mine takes a while sometimes. Just let it sit and go make a sandwich or something an check it again in a bit..

If it doesn't move in an hour or so, cancel..exit iTunes and stuff.. Put the iPod into DFU mode and attempt another restore or something..

It really depends on how your doing it.

If you already downloaded the firmware and are shift-restoring. That will only take like 5-10 mins.

If you are regular restoring. It can take a couple hours to download the firmware especially if you have slow internet.

I don't think thats normal...Try starting it over again. I think the normal time to restore after downloading the firmware is like 20-30 minutes

the restore itself shouldn't take very long. Less than 30 mins.
