    If not, why not?

By the way don't tell me I can do it already using ibackupbot, I know that and have done it, I'm just wondering why it's not a feature and if you guys reckon they'll introduce it in 4.2?

Nope. It's been iPhone only since it was released (I think).

Think about it, while there are most of us who can just jailbreak and get that feature for free. Some people don't want to jailbreak and get battery apps from the app store.

If apple implemented that in the ipod, their sales would go lower.
