I looking forward to buy one of the current macbooks(not the new ones comming out). How good is a, lets say 2.0mhz, macbook playing COD4-5 and will i be able to run programs like adobe after effects with any problems?
I really want to get a macbook pro with the nVidia GeForce 8600 GT but thats quite expensive.

the new NEW macbook runs games like a charm. It's so weird with the trackpad though.

Macbooks have new graphics cards, so gaming has changed and improved in the Macbook.

When you compare it to the macbook pro (old) and other G4/intel macs it looks and feels nice. It still can't beat my mac pro though i dont think.

Thanks, I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means, I just want a decent graphics card that can render games and videos smothly and effecently. I currently have a nvidia geforce 7150m 64mb and its a piece!

How does the newer nvidia geforece 8600 compare to the older ati radeon x1600 in the older macbook pro, I know there both a 600 graphics card which is good for gaming, but is there a mojor difference between the two?

Ignoring that these are not only 2 different models but also from 2 different companies, the one thing they do have in common is that the "600" in their title does not mean "its good for games".
