So i got everything ready for hackingtosh, partitions, kalyway(working), and vista recovery CD.
But one thing i was wondering is HOW FAST is Osx86, is it slow and laggy or fast, I've never used one and am wondering how well does it run.

You really didnt need to make a whole new thread for this.

Its fast on some computers, slow as hell on the others

think about the hardware you have...

if your going to use 10.4, ten its gonna be super fast. (1.8 ghz pent 4 and 512mb was the shizz back then)

if your using 10.5, you probably want at least 2.0 ghz and 512 mb. it will probably run just fine. (back in the days of 10.5.1, that was the type of hardware, but a bit mroe ram would e nice )

i actually have a 2.0ghz pent.4 and 512 mb, will hackintosh soon as i get the dvd to burn kaylway on.

Leopard runs fast even on 867 MHz. Some people even got it running on even slower CPUs.

Its fast on most cpus as long as its actually installed and not being emulated. (yeah someone got that to work, it was sloooow though)

    also, consider this:

like tes said, leopard runs ok on slower processors.

for example, people run OS X on their apple tv's (1ghz processor, 256mb.)

2gb RAM is awsum, 1.7ghz is great too (this OS runs on netbooks)

after i found out about OS X on apple tv, i really realized that were not dealing with vista here.
