How far can you connect with Bluetooth?

    How far can I connect to my friends iPod via Bluetooth like to play a game with him?

    I think the specification is something like 30 feet line-of-sight.

    Aww man what the he'll only 30 feet apple gives us some cheap sht I thought it could atleast go half a mile

    30 feet is acceptable but half a mile be nice... But that couldnt happen.... Though I wonder how many bluetooth devices Id find within half a mile lol

    Roughly 30ft, yes. I use it when I am at school, or even better, at my house, charging my device and using the headphones. Like someone said, you need to be in the line of sight, or the connection will drop. I tried it around a wall or two, eh, it starts dropping pretty badly.
