Pay as you go are the largest growing group in the phone segments. There is something to be said when you don't have a two year contact and you don't have to pay as much.

This might finally be a solution for me. I have been stuck on the iPod Touch due to how outrageous it is to have a phone contract with a data plan. I am always pissed that my iPod Touch doesn't have as much power as an iPhone. I could buy this and use it as an iPod Touch then tack phone service to it as needed. This is full of win to me.

Sounds expensive to me. I pay 30€ a month for a plan completely fitting my needs.

Don't forget that Americans get ripped off when it comes to phones. In Europe it's always cheaper.

It's kinda the same thing as T-Mo, it's unofficial but it runs on their network. T-Mobile just needs to update their towers to support iPhone 3G/4G which they are working on during 2012/13. You live in a big city right? Try turning your iPhone 3G data on and see if you have it in your area.

And to anyone actually thinking of getting this, cricket is terrible. Not worth $55/month

My friend has an iPhone 4 and pays $35/mo plus taxes. Maybe Europe is cheaper, but people pay for what they want and it's their money.
