I synced my touch with my old hdd and when I got the new hdd, I neglected to copy over all of my apps from the appstore. Is there anyway that I can unsync the ipod so I can put new apps on it, preferably without having to delete all of the apps currently on it?

Thats not my problem. I haven't actually bought any apps but I need to put new apps on the ipod, so itunes wants me to clears all the existing apps on the ipod so I can sync the new ones.

If you haven't bought any apps, how come you have to clear existing apps? Doesn't make sense.....

Let's just say that I haven't taken the LEGAL way to get apps. And having to delete them is terribly inconvenient.

then if they weren't legal apps then iTunes cant recognize those apps as they are not directly from the app store. so in theory they shouldnt be deleted. just the ones that you got from the app store would get deleted.

The thing is that iTunes thinks they're legit ... There are hacked .ipa's out there that you use through iTunes.

Not promoting hacked apps, just saying why I dont want to clear them off my iPod. If I delete them then I lose everything that I saved in those apps, so there has to be another way.
