"how do you tell the difference in a itouch 8gb & 16gb logic board"

    I would like to know if any one knows how do you tell the difference in a 1g itouch 8gb & 16gb logic board.

    I don't think there is a difference, other than the amount of hard drive space. But that doesn't have anything to do with the logic board

    there is no difference. the only difference between the two devices is memory.

    This guy I sold my two itouch too. took them apart with out knowing which one is which. So were is the memory at? he wanted to put them back together but don't know what goes with were?!!

    If you remove the RF shield, the memory chips are right there. There are two, labelled Toshiba. If you lookup the chip, you will be able to tell which model it is. If you are in doubt, post the chip model here and I'll look it up (I don't have an open 1G handy). Here's a screenshot from one of my older posts.
