I mean I just want to see what it would be like running the iphone os on a 2.1 GHZ processor ATI Randeom Express with 256 mb of memory, a sata hard drive, 3 gb of memory. I would fully install it so that you can select it during boot or just a application i can click on.

I have no clue where to put this thread so i put it here.

Do you really think you can install iPhone OS on a PC, considering it aint even a MAC, and you cant install it onto a MAC anyways, because it is designed for a Portable device...

iphone os is a modified os x 10.4 version. so it should be possible. like android on a notebook. maybe u ask at hackint0sh.org x86 project for that

This thread makes me facepalm, well, more like head-desk.
    Short answer: You can't.

Long answer: You can't. because of a lot of obstacles. The way the iPhone OS is setup for the iPod hardware, it would never work outside of an emulated environment. Furthermore, being that the OS is compiled exclusively for ARM, you can't run it on a PC.

The iPhone Simulator is one thing, but it's been changed somewhat to run on the Mac and everything has been recompiled for x86.

ive tried that before but im just curious how powerful a iphone os would be on a PC. Doesn't the apple sdk include a emulator? If it does then thats all i need cause like i said im downloading hackintosh right now.
