Right, compiled hello world, SSH'd it to my iPod but its not that simple now is it?

How do I get it to show on the menu?

You need to place it in /Applications/<name>.app and also put Info.plist in there (change it to your needs). Icon.png is not required for testing an app.

Make sure the app has 755 permissions.

Correct, your app won't show up if you don't have an Info.plist.

Done both, permissions set correctly, rebooted iPod yet HelloWorld doesn't show.

Info.plist, not info.plist. Case is important.
