also another question that was bothering me can you put your own music onto your ipod touch or every song you put onto the ipod you have to buy?

can you put your own movies onto your ipod or do you need to buy them from itunes?

You need iTunes to put music and apps into your iPod. Yes you can put your own music and videos as long as it has the right format like mp4 for videos.

Couldn't you just read the iPod touch box then posting a question that you had the answer to? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just saying.

It doesn't say anything about importing music, or even how to put music on, it was a valid question, unless you get a different box than the rest of us.

Punch your iPod until the music and apps get it in. Dude for real, if you don't know how to put MUSIC in your iPod, then you shouldn't have one. Also just read the thing that comes in the box, or Google it.

Just connect your iPod to iTunes, and wait for it to appear. Then, go to the music library and drag any songs from it onto your iPod. you can also drag albums. to put apps on it, you can go to the app store which is built in to the iPod. also you can use your CDs. just put the CD in, import it to your library, and add the songs! as for movies, you can buy those from iTunes, or download a program that can convert DVDs into an appropiate file for your iPod. Examples can be handbrake, etc.

Hope you enjoy your 1st iPod and have a Merry Christmas

itunes is dogsh*t slow and almost a virus. I've been fighting with it for about an hour now, it apparently doesn't like you to drag 15-20gb of music at a time to drop onto a touch.

love the ipod so far, but just despise iTunes
