Anyone know how to make normal ipod touch apps into HD? Mainly with a theme? I know some are HD and that they are updating it but does anyone know how to make the apps that aren't in HD to hd (using a computer)?

You would have to remake each part of the apps UI in HD. if you have the time....

You would spend days doing this on certain apps, which would be pointless. Just wait for the developers to make it HD...

well for utilities that just basically display a web page and have little tabs at the bottom, i think it basically uses apples default ui images, so that would already be HD

But for like games? there would basically be no possible way, unless you decompiled it and reporgrammed it lolz

Well you could make the non updated apps look like a Retina icon

Isn't this what Apple does with iPad?

Well actually, if you're jailbroken you can get retina icons just by appending @2x to the end of icon.png.

But for UI images and OpenGL content, you would need to recompile the code, and upscale ALL of the images, which could take hours depending on the app.

there's more to that. images have to be twice the size of the original. otherwise they'll look pixelated.

Not necessarily. If you look at the WWDC Session Videos, it explains upscaling icons by adding the @2x extension.

I'm going to be pissed if the entire time it was as easy as adding @2x to make them display in Retina instead of resizing and remaking icons..
