how do you know if your iphone 3gs 3.1.3 is running on the old bootrom????
Before September 09 - old
After - New
Chances are if your asking you just bought it, so you probably have new lol.
Btw, it literally took like 5 secs to google this question and get an answer rofl:
http://www.google.com/search?client...l if iphone has new bootrom&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
If the model number starts with "MC" you have the new.
If it starts with "MB" you have the old.
Isnt that just for iPod touches?
no, its for all devices, i believe
could you jailbreak the iphone 3gs 3.1.3 if it has the old bootrom with sn0wbreeze???
Dont think new bootroom is jailbreakable with any tool atm, and even if you do, its gonna be tethered, which in my opinion is waste of time, cause if it turns off at all, your scrwd till you get home and run the jailbreak again.
but i have the old bootrom with the 3gs version 3.1.3. the model starts with MB. From what Cl8rs wrote. but im confused, could you or could you not jailbreak it??
Well I've got an MC model and it has the old bootROM according the the system profile under recovery, but it's not a US model so that might be a factor. None the less it can't be JB until there is a jailbreakable version that is being ECID signed (or you already have the blobs)
