Double click the home button and activate your music.

Some games support it, some don't (from what I've seen anyways). But yea, if it does support it, double click the home button and press play or start your music then open an app.

Most of the games I've tried doesn't work. The music just fades away. Are there any apps that may allow you to constantly play music?

Just letting you know, you can play music in ANY app as long as you have multitasking. If not, or if the music controls are greyed out, just press the center button on your Headphones and the game music will fade away and the music you were last plain will start.

If you can't do any of that, then start playing music, tap on any app and IMMEDIATELY double click the home button for the music controls popup [ for older iPods or Older iOS ] And wait for the app to load up. Once your music is paused, just press play and you can continue playing music in app.
