How do you create ringtones for the iPhone do you have to use iTunes or what.
I used Garageband to make custom ringtones, then import them into iTunes.
Alternatively, use audiko.net
Great website which allows you to upload any audio track and convert it to a ringtone.
Change the extension of what you want to use to mr4. Sync, and it shows in ringtones.
For example, email yourself a voicenote, save it to the itunes folder, rename it to %whateveryouwant%.mr4. Works fine.
or use iRinger. Please Register or Log in to view images

It allows you to browse and download ringtones & so does phonezoo.com for free with no credit card or anything.
you can use zedge on both ipodtouch & iphones but when downloading you'll have to SSH into your device and move them to ringtones =)
iRinger is a very good program, and since i have all the music i like, i have no need to download other ringtones.
I have always used iRinger.
i believe you can also rename AIFF or ACC file into a ringtone by switching the extention to .m4r instead of .aiff or .acc. Just make sure you have it checked to unhide file extentions in file names.
Separate names with a comma.
