I installed Boss Prefs and it has a way to Enable Springboard ScreenShot. It says "On 1.1.3 and newer, springboard has a built in screenshot taker. Enabling this feature is safe and no extra daemons need to be run. It never needs to be disabled. To use, hold home and switch mute switch to mute position. Screen will flash white as shot is taken."

I tried many times, and I can't get this to work. The iPod touch has 2 buttons (that I'm aware of)- the one on the top (I guess that's mute) and the home button. I tried doing what it says in the instructions, and the iPod just locks if I press the top button. Anyone know how to use this?

Ohhh! I thought that top button was mute. I didn't know the iPhone had an extra mute button. Thanks for the explanation!

@Frannybrownryda: I have Capture. I just thought this would be easier than opening an app. Also, I couldn't get it to work no matter what I tried so I was curious about what the problem was.

I believe the built in screenshot button combo is a feature in firmware 2.0 only.
