So, I have an iPod touch and my friend wanted me to help him with his iPod nano, but I'm using my computer to show him stuff.

How can I connect his iPod to my computer and not have it clear out all his stuff, because, of course I don't have his music on mine.

I clicked the prefrences>devices>prevent automatic syncing to iPods, but is that enough?

Adn if I have to manually plug in the iPod to my computer, will it:
    A. Not sync because I click the "don't sync" box
    B. Sync, but I will have enough time to prevent that but clicking the iPod icon and checking "add music manually"
    C. Sync without my control

Thanks very much, I appreciate it,
    Kassie <3

Because you disabled the setting for automatic sync, you should be fine. However, in the event of an unexpected sync, you will have enough time to cancel it before precious data is lost.

It won't sync at all unless
    you press the sync button.

You can't do that without manually managing music, and if you do that it will delete everything.

You can show him an iTunes alternative.
