I got a HTC Wildfire yesterday and when I turned it on, I had to sign in to my Google account, and now all of my gMail is also coming to my phone which I dont want. How do I stop this? I tried removing it but it said some apps need the account so I can't do that, and I unchecked the 'sync mail' box in settings, still no luck. The main reason I want to do this is because (I believe) it uses up battery, and is it using my 3G because I think its push, could someone shine some light on this please

Your best shot at getting well-advised answers would be hitting a forum dedicated to Android devices. Try 'Phandroid'.

Turn off Background Data and Auto Sync under Accounts and Sync settings
