I have iOS 4.0 and I can't find the folder anywhere! I went to Private/var/stash/wallpaper.ESCaPg. I put my .png file into there but nothing happened. How can I SSH photos from my computer to my iPod?

You can just use iTunes to export photos.

Just a reason, but the reason he might be asking to ssh pictures to the camera roll is because photos are deletable, as opposed to using itunes and not being able to delete photos directly from the idevice.

Correct, but the files are not accepted, if you look closely, the pic would say something like 001.jpg or .png but if you look in the folder, whether it be 999Apple of 100apple it shows up as Image.001.jpg or something of that sort. The number in the camera roll does increase but upon opening there are no photos. I have read somewhere that for each image.001.jpg there is a corrosponding file..not sure about it though.Rather than changing the file names there must be something easier. Perhaps a hack that allows you to delete the pics right of the photos list? Any one?

I'm trying to put photos into my iPod that are currently on my computer. I have tried to copy photos into the wallpaper directory but it never showed up. Isn't there a way I can just copy photos into my Photos app where all my other pictures are?

Or you could drop the photo randomly anywhere, then move it to the directory i said with ifile, and i think it should change it for you.
