yeah just put the image into customize and then use that to change it - its much easier

    the grey dock eh??

1.first, rename the replacement dock "SBDockBG".
    2.then go into SSH.
    3.go to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app.
4.MAKE A BACKUP OF THE "SBDockBG" file thats in there already.
5.Drag your replacement dock into this folder. It would replace another file.
    6.Respring.
