    Hello.

I dont want to make another thread about a repo, so here is my problem.

I'm making a repo, on my repo i have 2 PDF files (compressed in .zip), one of them, the first one was downloaded from internet and uploaded to my google page etc.. And it works great, i can download them and read it with PDFViewer without problem.

The second file has been compressed by me (on .zip using winrar at win. XP), the problem is that when i download it, everything seems to be ok, but when i try to open it with PDFViewer, nothing happens.

Looking with Finder, i realize that both files has different permissions, actually the second file has no permission! its 0000. I manually changed it ussing winscp and it worked.

Here comes the question: How can i change the permissions in the repo, or before upload them? I mean, pre set the permission, so the users who download those files doesn't have to do anything beside read them on PDFViewer.

I'm deeply sorry to extend my post that long

PS: Im using windows XP or ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon (Dual boot rulz)
PS2: I know i can use postflight on the repo to do it but... how i use it?!

    Thanks

I believe that when you upload the file to the server it is on you can change the permissions when it is already uploaded. I am on a mac, but I believe that if you highlight the object that you want to change permissions on you can "Get Info" and then change the permissions there. There is probably a topic on help in your ftp client.

So basically upload first, change permissions second.

On line 62 you close the array you opened on line 21 right? That's not good, the array has to contain ALL packages.

Right now i'm making a sort of 'repository maker', i'm the maker of Your Repository (http://repository.acrb.nl) and i'm working on a function to add your own applications and thus make your own repository. If you're interested PM me.
