Hello, I've just jailbroken and (presumably) unlocked my mothers iPhone 3G, running 3.1.2.

I know I've successfully jailbroken it but how do I know I've successfully unlocked it?

I don't have any SIM cards to test it with.

If you don't have a SIM card, than what's the point of having the iPhone.

Good question, I should have elaborated.

I am selling the iPhone. I have one active SIM and that's the AT&T SIM that came with the phone.

If that one works than whoopdedoo, it worked before also so it wouldn't be much helping in me determining it's unlocked status.

Why would you jailbreak/unlock and then sell it?

I'm not sure why that's relevant but okay...

I'm selling it for my mother, she doesn't want it.

Now, can anyone actually help me out?

Sorry im not sure, the only way is to test with a different sim card. Surely a friend or someone can pop it out for a few seconds
