I really want to keep ALL of my jailbreak stuff, and my un JB stuff too. I want to update to 4.0 (it seems so awesome T_T) and keep all of my things. How can I keep ALL of my stuff if I have to restore? >_>

But... doesn't that only restore the apps, and not the app's settings...

For apps: PkgBackup ($4.99 but WORTH IT)
    For app settings: AppBackup (Free)

dTunes isn't even compatible with iOS4..

I know AppBackup copies regular iTunes app settings...

What about jailbroken app settings? @_@

I'm sorry, I'm like a noob to jailbreaks. I'm not upgrading until I can get EVERYTHING back 100% intact. T_T

I dont think there's a way to update but keep your device jailbroken + everything on it.

What you could do, starting from now is download all your deb files through Cyder 2. That way they are all saved to your computer and when you restore all you have to do is jailbreak and put the deb files in the autoinstall folder and reboot, then you will have all the apps you had before w/o downloading them again

You still have the problem of going to 4.0 because apple stopped signing 4.0 and you never were on it so no shsh blobs. Also 4.1 is unjailbreakable for newer devices and iPod touch 2g for sure doesn't work on 4.1 through Redsn0w.
