My brother has an iPod Touch 2G (non-jailbroken), and his computer died without any of his stuff backed up so.... we also just went to mexico and updated his apps too..... any way we could jailbreak his iPod without restoring and ssh or iFunBox into it and get all of the apps, music, and podcasts off????

    Thanks,

    DD

In iTunes right-click on the iPod and select "transfer purchases" to get your apps and such back onto iTunes. Also there is no way to jailbreak an iPod without restoring it.

I remember seeing something about a program that could supposedly access an iPod's filesystem without a jailbreak. Can't remember what it was called, and I'm doubtful about that.

There are always programs like sharepod, if they work.
