If you could take maybe at least a minute to read what he wrote you might have understood that he is "completely NEW to this". So before you attack somebody try to fix his problem first.

    What firmware are you running???

I'm running 1.1.4. I'm just confused about how things work in installer. Like, I see summerboard themes and such, but when I install a theme i don't know how to make it work. Also, I don't know how to get a theme from the pc onto the ipod. Thanks for the help. Also, what are some things that you recommend that I install from installer, if you don't mind.

First make sure you have downloaded Summerboard on Installer. Find a summerbord theme on Installer then go back to your Springboard (just press the home button). Then open up Summerboard app and you can change your themes there. If you want to get you theme from your computer to you iPod it's a little more complicated for me to explain so go with AppleDude and search for a tutorial. I recommend you upgrading to firmware 2.0...way better apps and games. http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84175

Alright, thanks! I'll try that. So I don't need "Customize?"

Hmmm..okay I'm a little slow or something but I installed Summerboard and opened it. Then I went to themes and changed it to "Bright Acrylic" and clicked "Restart Springboard"...it didn't change my theme.

Well, if you going with upgrading to 2.0 then yes because so far 2.0 doesn't have summerboard.
