My ipod broke down, somehow, and i finally got it working with the help of iphone's pc suite.

The problem is that there are 6 updates in my installer, which I don't want to update. So, anybody knows how do I get rid of them?

Another problem is that my installer shows the insufficient permissions box. How do I get rid of that?

I've done the search but it didn't help.

ignore the updates. you can't get rid of them. and maybe this will fix your 2nd prob.
    Code:
    chown -R mobile /var/mobile
or reinstall installer and bsd subsystem (and cydia if you have it)

The ''wheel'' has changed the way this world works. It helps us transport things.

LOL, no idea. It just works.

I f***ing hate you, you are so dumb.

    For permissions, enter this command:

    chmod 4775 /Applications/Installer.app/Installer

You don't need to mess with permissions. The two lines of code I told you above WILL WORK. It takes under 10 seconds to copy and paste them to the proper application (Terminal, Putty, etc.) Run them. open Installer, and you're good.
However, you cannot run the commands on MobileTerminal, or they won't work.

cant you just remove the repo's that want to update them if the updates are in a dif. repo than the repo your app is using?
