how do i free disk space?

    i partitioned it for 500mb but now i only have 24mb left.
    how can i clear up space on 2.0 with cyberduck or an app.

    You can move the Applications folder and create a symlink.

    SSH into your iPod and enter these commands:

    cp -r /Applications /private/var/Applications
    rm -fr /Applications
    ln -s /private/var/Applications Applications
    ls -la

    the whole point is to not delete stuff.

    hellrider, how can i do that with the cyberduck ftp client or with a mac in general?

    look for something that says command prompt, or terminal

    On Windows, use Putty. (Google it). On OS X, SSH using Terminal. (Applications/Utilities/Terminal)

    Install openSSH, if you have not already. Find the IP address of your iPod, and write it down. Then open Terminal and type this:

    ssh root@iPod'sIPaddress


    Of course, replace that last bit with your iPod's IP. Then you will be prompted to enter a password. Enter "alpine" without the quotes.

    Then proceed to enter the commands I posted above (and after each line press Return.)

    i have just done that now my apps have gone but my app store apps are still on

    help me please and can i undo it?
