Okay, so I tried to jailbreak 2.0.1, out of boredom, I did it wrong and got the error message, now I can't restore anything at all, it keeps giving me the error message, even when I try to restore to the noncustomed version. And I can't turn my iPod on.

    What do I do?

put your ipod into dfu mode (with the help of pwnage or winpwn) and restore to custom firmware (or genuine firmware if you want to...)

Its already in dfu mode, but it won't let me restore. Although I got rid of winpwn... I guess I'll try that before freaking out a bit more.

are you sure it is actually in dfu mode rather than just restore mode. there is a difference and itunes wont let you restore to 2.0.x in restore mode despite the name...

I'm still very new to this so I didn't have any idea.

I just used winPwn, and the iPod is now installing the jailbroken 2.0.1, and it's back on, so I'm guessing all is well.
