Hi everyone. I am new to this forum as well as the iPod Touch. It is my first ever iPod and I have only had it for 3 months. The iPod I have is the Touch 2nd generation. My question is this:

How do you delete the ORIGINAL Apps on the Touch?

I know how to delete apps as well as the app icon that I have ADDED but can not figure out how to delete the original apps that came preloaded on the iPod. I only want to delete 3 or 4 that I NEVER use.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Idk if you can. I just hide them.

Thanks for the reply Shaq. You said you "hide them". By doing so are the icons "hiden" somewhere so you can not see them on the screen? If so, that will work for me! Seeing these icons I never use is driving my crazy. Could you please advise how to "hide them"? Thanks.

If you are jailbroken. Then look for an app called Poof on cydia.

Ya, you can use either poof or sbsettings. You can find them in cydia. In poof, each icon has an on/off toggle and if you make it off, it will hide from your springboard and you won't see it. You can set it back to on if you ever want to.

Thanks for the replies. I don't feel comfortable jailbreaking yet since I am rather new to the iPod and need it for work so I will hold off on that. For now I am just going to "move" the apps to my "last page" as someone else suggested. Out of sight out of mind thinking! Thanks again for the help.

If you jailbreak later you could also SSH in and delete them that way.

Use parental controls to hide some of the apps

    Settings > General > Restrictions

Poof is one way, but if you want to save some space delete them through SSH.
You can hide some of them in Settings --> General --> Restrictions but not all of them. Only a few

    Wolfnikita & imthebestracerthereis,

Good ideas. Did not think of that either. So I moved them all to the next page i don't use AND I did your restriction idea. Thanks for the help.
