I use Paint.Net and IconFX to create or to make Icons for my themes on my iPod touch 1G 8g, and here members talk about using gradients and adding layers? I see many of the really good themes, look clean/rounded/and similar to iPod touch/iPhone icons. I sometimes use faces on some of my icon images, and I don't know if you can do this in the method suggested above? Any help on good sites or away of finding good vids. on how to make the Icons better, any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks, The Crow

just don't do whatever you're doing to make them look dirty

if all you have is a solid color/gradient base with some highlights and shadows etc over top of it, it rly shouldn't be 'dirty' (though i don't know what that word means exactly) unless you go way overboard with the gradients
