So I bought an iPad in May, and an iPod touch for Christmas last year. Now, I am asking for the 4G touch for Christmas. I asked my mom and she said, "You already have an iPod touch, don't you?" While seeing this is true, my mind drew blank with a comeback. So now, I wonder, how do I convince my mom to see that buying the new iPod touch is a good thing? My sister also wants any model of iPod touch she can get her hands on.

Explain the enhancements of the new iPod, such as more memory, faster processor, retina display, cameras, etc. And offer to give your current iPod to your sister if you get the new one.

I know it wouldn't work for me (I had to buy my own iPod in the first place

Will the new iPod touch save your life?

Seriously, don't rely on your parents for everything, so
    1) Get a job
    2) Sell your touch and/or various items to get the new touch

    Threaten to kill yourself.

Or just get a job and buy one yourself.

Stop nagging your parents for things. Work hard and make some money. I have to save up my money to buy things.

If your parents are okay with giving in to what their child wants, then they'll eventually say okay. But when you get older, you'll find it hard not relying on them for things.

P.S. Usually, when you don't have a comeback, they're right or you want it for the wrong reasons. XD

If you're against getting a job (or are too young), just sell some things. Easy.

2nd this, but you can also say "it's a good way to take videos of memories for our family". Or you can just get a J.O.B.
