How do I change my SpringBoard StatusBar text and logos into something else? I've seen people edit the text "iPod" to their names, edit the battery logo on the top right to something else. Yes. My iPod Touch 2G is jailbroken on firmware 2.2.1 via redsn0w.

Where the time, battery, Wi-Fi stuff resides; thats what I want to edit.

Any applications that can do this sort of thing? or do I have to manually edit from SSH?

Link to a topic would be helpful (if I had to SSH)

By the way, don't say customize because it crashes on me.

    Hey,
You can change the ,,iPod" and the ,,Clock" text with MakeItMine via Cydia.

Is there anyway to put an apple logo or other image in the top bar?

use winterboard and change the png files. put them in \private\var\stash\Themes.******\CustomStatusbar.theme\Bundles\com.apple.springboard through ssh and activate the theme.
the file names are Default_#_AirPort(0-3*) and FSO_#_AirPort(0-3*) for wifi (on iPod, not sure about iPhone) and Default_CARRIER_IPOD and FSO_CARRIER_IPOD for the name/icon in the top left.

*replace the # with the appropriate ascending number 0-3
