Is it really even possible to brick an Ipod?

I mean short of busting the buttons, interface or something inside.

If hardware is intact, I can not imagine any soft way to brick the thing.

I assume once the Ipod is born its flash drive (is that correct) is blank.
The only code in it must be the ROM (thats the bios right)

From there even blank you should be able to go into dfu and upload in image?

Is my imagination off somewhere if so, school me, dont flame me.

Where there is a will, there is a way. I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could brick it. Theres always a need for another paperweight

this kinda doesn't answer his question. the only way that u can brick it is if u mess with some of the actual code... u have to be trying to brick it to actually do it. if u follow the jailbreak tutorials u won't brick it.

    Already jailbroken

I just really want to know what code or file can brick me.
Already changed my su password also,
but what if I was at burger king crusing the net, and someone malicious hacked my root password and sshed into my ipod, what file or files could the delete to perma brick my ipod?

In the reverse if someone had me really po, so ssh into their ipod using alpine has the password, I would just cd / , then rm -rf *
    Would that destroy their system?

Of course I would never do that! I love computers too much!

There are some real SOB's out there if they did the above too me would, all hope be lost?

The file system could be recreated with a simple restore.

Unlike the iphone, where you can permanently f*** up the phone parts, it's pretty had to brick an ipod touch.
