My iPod is tethered RunRs jailbroken, and I need linux [ubuntu] to boot my iPod, already installed libusb.
I'm not linux-noob, but not a super-expert though, but I know what's sudu, cd and more basic commands.
As far as I know, I need just to follow after terminal-based tutorials for mac, because both of them unix based oss am I right?
    Thanks.

I don't know what to do with that file but it doesn't matter, I searched a little bit, found iBooter (booter for linux for NORMAL and again NORMAL tethered jailbreak, not runrs), I took the iRecovery from the zip, cd to the directory, ./irecovery -s and run rs boom ipod is booting.

easiest way: use iRecovery, start it with

    ./iRecovery -c "run rs"

which is just a single command send.
