    Hello,

There are times when I listen to a song in my collection that I never want to hear again and that I wish deleted from the device the next time I sync.

Another thing I would like to learn how to do is to play the same track over and over.

I am a Ipod newbie. The only thing I have learned how to do with my ipod is to listen to music by artists or by albums.

Any help on how I can achieve these things?

    Love,
    Andres

to ban a (not to delete) a certain track, all you have to do is unthick it in itunes, this way it wont play itself unless you play it.

to repeat one over and over, just press the little circle made of arrows below the progress bar twice until it shows a 1

That will only stop it being played in iTunes. To get it off the iPod, delete it from iTunes and then sync

Why don't you just delete the song?

    maybe he doesnt know how.

you have to check "Manually sync videos and songs" and then make sure everything you want is selected

    Hello,

I have not learned how to use Itunes to listen to music. I prefer songbird.

I want to ban the track from the ipod without using itunes. Is it possible? I might spend time away from the pc from which I sync

    Love,
    Andres

what kind of ipod are you using?

you could also make a custom playlist, that doesnt contain the song you dislike

what i dont understand is, if you dont like the song then why on earth do you have it????

    Uncheck the song in iTunes.

Then go to the iPod summary tab, and tick "Only sync checked items"

    As I said I am a newbie

    Hello,

I uploaded discographies of several artists I like to the ipod until I filled its available space. I do not like all the songs of that artist. When I listen to a song in my ipod I would love if there existed an option to ban a track so it is never again listened to as there is in last.fm or pandora.

I want do a double tap or whatever on my ipod touch and never have to listen to that song again.

I am as well an itunes newbie. I want to delete an artist from my library. I got the whole discography in my library. Maybe 100 tracks. I do not like this artist. Any easy way of deleting all the tracks of an artist or an album?

    Love,
    Andres

Search for the artist's name. Select all the "offending" tracks via Control + A (or Command + A for Mac). Delete.
