Well, I have a question concerning not backing up my ipod touch, but getting the stuff back on afterwards. So I am about to upgrade to 3.0, but am confused as to what to do after I do so. After upgrading, what do I do to get all the music and apps back? Will a prompt come up?

A side question, I remember reading somewhere that if I were to upgrade to 3.1 (when it comes out), I didn't have to delete everything on the itouch. Uh, did I read correctly? Or do I have to backup, upgrade, jailbreak again, and move everything back?
    Thanks!

    Okay.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NOT BACKING UP CYDIA APPS**

Right click your iPod in iTunes and click Backup.
Once its done, update to 3.0

Once its done restoring (really updating), your iPod will restart.
When it restarts, give iTunes a minute to recognize it.
On iTunes, it will ask you to restore from backup, or set up as new iPod.
Click "Restore from Backup (Your iPods Name), and then let your iPod do its thing (usually takes 30-60 minutes), and then it will restart, then its done.

INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU WANT TO BACK UP CYDIA APPS**

    Download AptBackup from Cydia.
    Open It.
    Press Backup.
    Go to iTunes.
Right Click Your iPod, and click Backup.
    Update.
    SET UP AS NEW iPOD
    Jailbreak.
    Install AptBackup.
    DONT OPEN IT
    Go Back to iTunes.
    RIGHT CLICK YOUR iPOD!
    CLICK RESTORE FROM BACKUP
    SELECT YOUR BACKUP
    LET IT RESTORE
    After Restore... Open AptBackup
    Click Restore.
