I have it plugged into my computer but it's not charging. The battery meter says that it is charging (the lightning bolt) but after hours of charging, the big battery meter is still red.

How long have you had your ipod touch?

Your battery may be dead and may need a replacment

Try plugging it into a wall with the wall charger if you have one

Only 3 weeks. How can you plug it into the wall? Don't you need USB?

if it's not usb 2.0 it might not have enough power to charge it.
if you have power adaptors you can plug into the wall outlet.
i have an old firewire power outlet from 4g ipod that does charge it.
