how can i save space on my jailbroken 2g 3.0 8 gig

    i have heard that you can transfer the mp3s to aac but i cant figure out how to do that, i right click it and the transfer option wont come up...i have deleted all the songs and videos and apps possible...i have like 100 mb left...please help...my ipod is jailbroken on 3.0

    There is no way you can have only 100MB after removing everything. Restore to a stock 3.0, rejailbreak (with Redsn0w) then put only what you want on the iPod. You might consider getting one with higher storage capacity.

    no i ment like everything that i dont need...i have like 3.5 gigs of music no videos, and a buncha apps...but i deleted all the the stuff i dont need

    Then you just need to decide what to keep, and what to delete. To save spae, just put less stuff on it.

    okay thanks...im doing tha right now...is there any kind of app that compresses your files to help save space?

    How are your videos saved? I use Visual Hub, which has all the iPod/iPhone settings, to make a 46 minute program take up only about 160 meg.

    AAC has better sound quality than mp3. Am not sure whether conversion from mp3 to aac would help either the sound quality or file size though. Someone, please clarify.
