Cydia is screwed up on my iPod.

First of all, I can't use it to install anything any more, because of an app that seems to be permenantly in the queue/cache. I can't mention the name, but it doesn't matter. Whenever I try to install something, it tries to install said "app" first, which results in a failure. Cydia then prompts me to restart springboard, without installing anything else.

Also, it seems as though I have a repository that I cannot get rid of. When I start Cydia, I get "Error: Cached Failure" for multiple repositories, that I no longer even have added. I have already went into my iPod's files and deleted anything in the apt section that had to do with these repos, but I still get an error.

This is why I want to "reset" Cydia back to "factory settings". If anyone could help me with these two problems, that would also be good. Please do not tell me to restore, I don't want to (plus, anyone can say that a Restore is a fix to a problem, when most of the time there is a simple way to fix it).

Thanks for any replies that this gets!

This doesn't work, because of the package that is stuck in the Queue. It tries to install that first, before it reinstalls Cydia. It still redownloads Cydia, though.

You sure? You know about any of these problems then?

Does anyone know where the Queue is located, so I can maybe clear that out manually?

Would it be possible to reinstall Cydia on your iPod? Maybe using redsn0w.

I have had this problem before! I followed this
But here is what he advised. SSH into your device. go to private/var/lib/apt/lists, And delete everything apart from the "Partial" folder, open cydia select changes and then refresh, you should be good to go, it will still give you errors, but at least you will be able to load everything.

but instead I deleted the source file from where (repo) cydia tries to DL from egapt.bigboss****_packages reboot device and start cydia! that should help
