    Hi,

By mistake I pressed the button of other option and since then I cannot have the option in Cydia to backup my ECID.
Is there a way to let me do so?

Cydia doesn't seem to have any settings or preferences GUI... :-(

    Thanks!

Once pressed, Cydia backs up autmatically. So don't worry

No, I meant that I pressed the other button, not the button which says "make life easier".

Oh. Hmn... I think you can't do anything about it, since Cydia saves the settings for that on its Server... You probably should backup your stuff with TinyUmbrella, cuz it also submitts to Cydia.

No, I really mistakenly pressed the other button, I did not want to press it.

TinyUmbrella doesn't even seem to recognize my device. Specificaly the button "Save my SHSH" is grayed.

Make sure your device is turned on. Also, if you have a passcode for your lockscreen, make sure to type in the code and unlock it. This will give TinyUmbrella access to your iPod. Also, open up iTunes first and make sure that your iPod is being recognized. If it is, then close iTunes and then open up TinyUmbrella.

Thanks - the problem was that my iTunes was active. After closing it TimyUmberlla recognizes my device.

    This is the result:
08/28/2010 13:50:49.366 Asking CYDIA for SHSH blobs for iPod2G 4.0.2 (8A400)... 08/28/2010 13:51:42.277 SHSH SUCCESSFULLY saved! [Click Here to Open]
08/28/2010 13:51:42.312 You have saved your SHSH locally and the request was sent to CYDIA. This means that CYDIA DOES have your SHSH. Do NOT bug semaphore about the Cydia home page showing this version.

    Does it mean I'm good?

Yep. Just look if Cydia mentions "This device has a pending TSS request" or "This device has SHSH on file for:..."

If either of the ones is there, it's fine. If none is there, give it some time.

    Thanks!

I entered Cydia and I see nothing special at them moment.

I don't understand why TinyUmbrella states I have my SHSH in Cydia if I specificaly pressed the button which says I don't want Cydia to backup my ECID...
