I turned my ssh off; my brightness is low; mail is set to maunal;EQ off; all Apps are closed; screen locks after 1 min.

I think i have daemons on my ipod. This post (http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114236) from studangerous said to say away from Intelliscreen, Kate, Video Wallpapers or Winterboard themes, but I don't have any of those.

Can anyone tell me which of these are daemons so I can delete them and help my battery?
    -activator
-backgrounder (i usually don't leave apps running, only occasionally)
    -ibluever
    -infiniboard
    -lockdown
    -notified
    -openssh (which is now off)
    -SB settings
-winterboard (but i'm not using any themes)
    my background is black-not a pic/video
and I use the numerical battery but nothing else on the status bar has been changed.

I did notice after turning off ssh it helped my battery a lot but i would still like to know if any of those are daemons.

Are you on 4.0? Turn off Wifi before going to standby.

I can only update to 4.0.2 and Cydia has warnings about not updating to that version. But I don't have any daemons on it?

and thanks lux2gs for that, but I don't know what i'm doing well enough to mess with that. I know it says step-by-step but i'm sure i'd still mess it up. lol

you can update to 4.0.2 and jailbreak using redsn0w. but you would need to use the 4.0 ipsw although it will be the same
